Still here…sort of

I’m still here. Sort of. I didn’t mean to, but it seems I’m taking a blogging hiatus. Not a terribly long one — I’ll be back before long — but an indefinite one, since I can’t say when I’ll get the time and mental energy to write again.
I’m still reading all your blogs, so I won’t be completely absent, but I just can’t gather enough energy to write anything of my own. It’s all I can do to slog through the writing and editing I’m required to do at work. I haven’t done any creative writing, noveling, or creative play to speak of since about June. Even the 140 character limit of Twitter strains my writing capacity.
I can feel the creative urge building up (characters start talking in my head every now and again, and I keep daydreaming about the roleplaying games I used to play), but it hasn’t reached the point where it can overtake the tiredness and stress of everything else.
Anyway…this was supposed to just be a short note, and now I’m wasting space complaining. (Stop it! Focus!)
Where was I again?
Oh, yeah… Hiatus.
You know, I think it’s the time of year. I’ve done the same thing – the hiatus I mean – without even meaning to do it. Looking forward to when when you get back!!
Sounds like we’re all in the same boat. Maybe we should either all stop rowing or else get back into the swing of it and battle on, regardless of how we feel. My vote is to stop rowing and let the tide take us where it will for a while. At least we’re all in the same boat :-)
